Performing-Arts-Durham-Fringe-2022-2.jpgOur talented performing arts students from our class of 2022 showcased their performance skills at The Town Hall as part of Durham Fringe Festival.

The group were excited to take centre stage at the second annual celebration of the arts in Durham City. Rehearsals were a breeze as the students selected material from their studies to perform to the crowded Town Hall audience.

Zoe Wilkinson, first year performing arts student, commented:

鈥淚 can鈥檛 thank NCD enough for such an amazing opportunity. The venue was beautiful and the audience was amazing.鈥

Lisa Petrie, Performing Arts Lecturer, said:

鈥淭his was a completely new experience for the group, they haven鈥檛 done anything like this before. After just eight hours of rehearsals, our actors had 15 minutes to get ready and sound check in the venue before performing the hour of highlights from their studies. The Town Hall as a venue was spectacular and the audience were very supportive. We are very proud of the standard and professionalism of the group, they deserved the standing ovation from the audience.鈥

Geoff Graham was in the audience and said:

鈥淎bsolutely fabulous show! I enjoyed every performance so much, the group did NCD proud. Well done to all the performers and their tutors for their hard work and support. All the best for the future.鈥

We look forward to welcoming our returning students in September and are thrilled to have shared one final experience with our progressing students who will be starting drama school or university in from September.
