Our guiding principles

  • Every Student Counts

    Every Student Counts

We could pick and choose who we educate, but we don’t. We could narrow our offering and focus in one key area, but we don’t.

We believe every student counts and every student deserves the opportunity to realise their potential, whatever that looks like.

  • Take Pride

    Take Pride

We apply effort and thought to everything we do, we expect our students to do the same.

By instilling a culture of mutual respect we’ve created an atmosphere on campus that is hard to define, but nonetheless palpable. We want everyone on campus to feel ownership of ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵÎÛ Durham.

  • Consider Anything, Question Everything

    Consider Anything, Question Everything

We’ve got a track record of embracing the new. We’re open to new innovations and initiatives, but only once we’ve done our homework.

We always take an evidence based approach to risk. It may sound boring (sometimes it is), but it has allowed us to build a stable foundation that is crucial for our students and staff to succeed.

  • Find the Right Fit

    Find the Right Fit

We know that when we find the right place for the right student they stay with us, progress and thrive. We aim to achieve that contentment in every person

we place – student or staff.

We have the facilities to stay with students for every step of their post 16 journey, we have a great track record of achieving it too.

  • Happy Students Make Healthy Stats

    Happy Students Make Healthy Stats

We’ve got an abundance of impressive statistics, we’re ranked number one in the region in a lot of areas. We have enjoyed a lot of success and we know that results and statistics are an important asset to our organisation.

We also know that these accolades come as a natural result of striving to do the best for our students. We recognise that behind every report there is a real group of individuals, each with their own trials and triumphs. We’re here for them.

  • Part of the Bigger Picture

    Part of the Bigger Picture

We understand that ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵÎÛ Durham doesn’t exist in a vacuum, we are part of a much bigger picture. We don’t act without first considering the regional, national and international backdrop.

And we view every student’s education in the bigger context of their lives, knowing their education is a crucial stepping stone to their future.

If all this sounds like a mission you can get behind, we would welcome your application for any of our ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵÎÛ Durham jobs.
